Athletic Fields and Courts

Whether playing doubles tennis or a game of pick up basketball, Overland Park has several athletic fields and courts to meet your needs.

Most fields and courts are first-come-first-serve and free. They are accessible dawn to dusk.

If you want to ensure your playing time, you can rent some of the fields and courts by calling 913-895-6390. There is a $5 permit fee associated with reservations.

If you're a little more adventurous, the city also has a skate park and an outdoor roller hockey rink.

Baseball/Softball Fields

The fields can be used for free pick up games when they are not reserved by individuals or organizations.

Skate Park

The Overland Park Skate Park at Community Park, 138th and Switzer, offers challenges for both novice and advanced skate boarders and inline skaters.

Tennis Courts

Generally, the tennis courts are first-come-first-serve. There is no fee to use them.

Basketball Courts

Generally, the outdoor courts are first-come-first-serve. There is no fee to use them.

Soccer Fields

In addition to the new Overland Park Soccer Complex, which has 12 lighted, tournament-quality synthetic turf fields, the city also has soccer fields at six parks.

Volleyball Courts

The city has two indoor volleyball courts as well as six outdoor sand volleyball courts.
